We all like restaurant's food and it is more fun if we find food like restaurant. So today I am going to share the recipe of dry chilli chicken in Indian restaurant style at home.
Chicken is the most favourite item of all the non-vegetarians especially kids out there. Dry chilli chicken is an Indo Chinese cuisine served as starter. It is a very easy recipe & you can easily make it at home. It takes 15 minutes for the preparation and 30 minutes for cooking.
Whenever I organise any party at my home I usually make dry chilli chicken because it is the most popular dish and liked by everybody. Chilli chicken can also be made with more gravy and served with rice or Roti or noodles.

Ingredients I have used in this recipe are very minimal and you will get all the ingredients at the market very easily.
Start by marinating the chicken with 2 tbsp corn flour and 2 teaspoon soya sauce. Mix all these very well. Keep this aside for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes heat a pan and add some oil to fry the chicken pieces. Increase the gas flame. Once the oil is heated decrease the flame and add marinated chicken pieces one by one. Fry until it gets golden brown. Take them out in a bowl.
Now on the same pan add chopped green chillies, chopped ginger and chopped garlic cloves. Fry it for few seconds.
Now I am going to add diced onion, diced tomato and diced green bell pepper. Mix everything thoroughly and fry for 10 to 15 seconds. Add 3 teaspoon of vinegar. Stir well. Add 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chilli powder & 1 teaspoon black pepper powder. Mix these spices with vegetables.
Add 2 teaspoon soya sauce and 2 teaspoon salt. Mix them. Remember soya sauce has salt in it, so you do not need to add more salt. Add tomato sauce. Mix it.
Now add fried chicken pieces. Mix everything well. Add a teaspoon of sugar. This is totally optional. If you do not want to add sugar, then skip this part.
Add some more red chilli powder to get the reddish colour as restaurant and this will make the chicken spicier.
Now add a glass of water. Stir it. Cover the pan and let the chicken cook for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes remove the lid and check the consistency. Increase the gas flame. Check how it tastes. Add some more green chillies. If you want some gravy then turn the flame off, but I am going to make it drier. Decrease the gas flame. Add a teaspoon of black pepper powder. Stir it well. Now it is completely ready. Turn off the gas.
How to serve this dish
Take it out in a serving plate. Garnish with some freshly chopped coriander. Serve this with sliced onion and a piece of lemon.
